Jackie Stewart

Sir Jackie Stewart is a Scottish former racing driver who won three World Championships, in 1969, 1971 and 1973. Known as "The Flying Scot", he won 27 Grands Prix and retired as the most successful driver of his time.

Beyond his on-track success, Stewart became a tireless campaigner for improved safety in motorsport at a time when fatalities were tragically common. His advocacy for circuit improvements, barriers, medical facilities and seatbelts transformed the sport and saved countless lives.

After retiring he became a respected broadcaster and team owner, founding Stewart Grand Prix, which later became part of what is today the Red Bull operation.
