MotoGP to add second qualifying session in 2027
MotoGP will change its weekend format in 2027 by introducing two qualifying sessions. The sprint race will also have its own separate grid order under the revised format.

MotoGP has announced a format change for the 2027 season that will expand qualifying to two sessions. The update adds an extra qualifying session to the race weekend schedule.
Under the new structure, the sprint race will no longer share the same starting order as the main race. Instead, it will have a separate grid order created through the revised qualifying format.
