Ricciardo names Verstappen as preferred Le Mans team-mate

Daniel Ricciardo has said he would like to finish his racing career by competing at the Le Mans 24 Hours, with Max Verstappen as one of his team-mates. In comments on the Beyond the Grid podcast, the former Red Bull driver outlined that idea as a possible future goal.

Verstappen later reacted to Ricciardo’s suggestion and joked that Ricciardo was "a smart man" for choosing him. He also revealed the pair had already discussed the possibility of doing Le Mans together.

At the same time, Verstappen was not certain the plan would be viable. Reports indicated there are practical hurdles around making such a reunion happen, even though Ricciardo has openly expressed interest in it.
