Wehrlein wins penultimate London race to reclaim Formula E points lead

Starting from pole position, Pascal Wehrlein controlled the penultimate race of the Formula E season in London. The Porsche driver benefited from a Full Course Yellow triggered for the recovery of Lucas di Grassi’s Lola Yamaha ABT car, using the interruption to complete his mandatory PIT BOOST stop and stay in front.

Early in the race, Mitch Evans tried to apply pressure from third while Wehrlein and fellow Porsche driver Nico Mueller ran ahead. Jaguar TCS Racing altered Evans’ strategy by using an early ATTACK MODE activation and PIT BOOST stop to undercut Mueller.

Wehrlein’s victory put him back into the Formula E drivers’ championship lead. It also set up a title showdown with Jake Dennis.
