Jorge Martin took victory in the Austria MotoGP sprint after moving from eighth to first. His win came after Pedro Acosta crashed while leading the race.
Acosta said the error was his own and explained that he had simply lost focus. The mistake cost him what the reports described as a certain sprint win.
As a result of the sprint outcome, Martin moved back into the MotoGP championship lead.
