Jamie Chadwick completes first Williams F1 test at Portimao

Williams ambassador and development driver Jamie Chadwick took part in her first Formula 1 test for the team at the Autodromo do Algarve in Portugal. The 28-year-old completed 32 laps at Portimao on Monday in Williams’ FW47 from last year as part of a Testing of Previous Cars programme.

The outing made Chadwick the first woman since Susie Wolff to drive a modern Williams Formula 1 car. Reports also noted she became the latest female driver to test an F1 car, and the second woman to do so this year after Doriane Pin.

Reflecting on the run, Chadwick described the experience as "surreal". She also said her appreciation for Formula 1 had "gone through the roof" after the test.
