McLaren to review Norris-Piastri Singapore Sprint collision

On the final lap of the wet 20-lap Singapore Sprint, Norris attacked Piastri on the inside of Turn 5. According to the reports, Norris could not fully back out of the narrowing gap and hit the right-rear of his team-mate’s car, sending both McLarens into a spin.

Piastri was eliminated and his car suffered severe rear damage, while Norris continued and finished eighth. Stella said the incident was serious, adding that the material damage to the team was a key reason for that assessment.

McLaren also indicated it would discuss the incident internally. Stella called the clash simply not acceptable, with the stewards also summoning the drivers after the contact.
