Rosberg says Russell has returned to form after difficult 2026 start

Nico Rosberg said George Russell is back at his best after what he described as a tricky start to the 2026 Formula 1 season. Russell began the year as a title favourite and won the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne as well as the Chinese sprint race.

After that, Russell encountered several setbacks, including ill-timed safety cars that affected his strategy. Rosberg’s assessment was that Russell has now returned to a stronger level.
