Russell says Verstappen disrupted final Monza qualifying run

George Russell said Max Verstappen disrupted his lap at the end of qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix. According to Russell, Verstappen "just slammed on the brakes" at Parabolica before the final qualifying lap.

Separate reporting said Verstappen also interfered with Mercedes’ tow plan for Russell at Monza. PlanetF1 said Mercedes showed its hand and Verstappen reacted, with the disruption ultimately costing Russell in the battle for pole position.
