Hamilton says Ferrari support in title fight has come too late
Lewis Hamilton said Ferrari has left it too late to fully back him in the Formula 1 title fight after the Italian Grand Prix. The Monza weekend also featured contact with team-mate Charles Leclerc, with Hamilton finishing sixth.

Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton had called for Ferrari team orders. After the race at Monza, however, he said the team had left it too late to support him in the Formula 1 title battle.
Hamilton’s race was affected by an opening-lap clash with Charles Leclerc, which sent him into the gravel. Leclerc later crashed at Parabolica on the second lap, bringing out a red flag.
Hamilton ultimately finished a distant sixth at Monza. The events of the weekend prompted a change in his stance on Ferrari team orders.
