Norris criticises qualifying display after ending up eighth in Austin
Lando Norris expressed strong frustration with his own performance after a difficult United States Grand Prix qualifying session. He finished eighth after a lap was deleted for exceeding track limits in Q3.

Norris cut a frustrated figure after qualifying for the United States Grand Prix, repeatedly blaming himself for the outcome. Across his post-session comments, he described his performance in blunt terms and said he had done a bad job.
He was classified eighth for the race, with one of his Q3 laps struck off for exceeding track limits. Autosport reported that Norris had briefly moved up to sixth on his second Q3 run before that time was deleted.
Autosport also said Norris felt a front-row result had been possible before the final outcome left him on row four alongside McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri. Separate reports also noted that Norris referenced difficulties with the McLaren during the session.
