Alonso criticises driving standards after Albon clash
Fernando Alonso criticised the standard of driving at the back of the Formula 1 grid after a collision with Alexander Albon. Reports said Alonso described around a third of the field, or drivers toward the rear, as being of "very low" quality.

Fernando Alonso spoke critically about driving standards following his collision with Alexander Albon at the United States Grand Prix. Multiple reports said his comments came in response to that incident.
According to the reports, Alonso said the standard of driving at the back of the Formula 1 grid was "very low". He was also reported as saying roughly 33% of the field, or drivers toward the rear of the grid, were of "low quality".
The comments were framed as a reaction to his tangle with Albon, with Alonso directing his criticism at the level of drivers running near the back rather than describing the entire grid.
