Verstappen unsure where overtaking chances will come in Spanish GP

Verstappen said he still needs to work out where he could pass Norris if he is to fight for victory in the Spanish Grand Prix. He was cautious about his chances when asked whether he could challenge the McLaren for the win.

The Red Bull driver qualified third at Madrid’s new street circuit. He was a little more than a tenth of a second slower than polesitter Norris and Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli.

Verstappen’s comments reflected concerns about how difficult overtaking could be at the venue. That lack of clear passing opportunities, he said, could make a win hard to achieve.
