Biography
Andrea Kimi Antonelli is an Italian racing driver and a graduate of the Mercedes junior programme. Highly rated from a young age, he won multiple karting titles and progressed rapidly through the single-seater ranks.
After dominating Formula Regional championships, Antonelli stepped up to lead Mercedes' line-up, taking the seat vacated by Lewis Hamilton. He is widely viewed as one of the most exciting young talents to enter the sport in years.
His promotion reflects Mercedes' long-term faith in his potential.
