Leclerc continued Ferrari’s strong start to the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend by setting the fastest time in Free Practice 2 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. His best lap was 1:17.827, sealing a Friday double after Ferrari also led the earlier practice session.

Lando Norris was second for McLaren, 0.103 seconds off Leclerc’s pace. George Russell finished third for Mercedes, just 0.003 seconds behind Norris, while team-mate Kimi Antonelli took fourth.

Max Verstappen completed the top five for Red Bull Racing, 0.311 seconds adrift of Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton’s session ended early because of a power unit problem.
