Norris praised after Zandvoort win as back-to-back victories boost McLaren driver

Norris took victory at Zandvoort from pole position, but his race was not straightforward as he had to catch and pass Kimi Antonelli to secure the win. After the race, McLaren team principal Andrea Stella said Norris was driving at the level of a world champion.

The Dutch Grand Prix victory was Norris' second in a row after another pole-to-win result at the Hungaroring. George Russell said he was not surprised by Norris' form at tracks with long corners and high tyre degradation, describing him as a specialist at that type of circuit.

The run of results has prompted debate about whether Norris can mount a title challenge. Norris, however, said he does not believe he currently has the car to compete for the Formula 1 title, while also saying he feels he is performing better on and off the track this year and is reducing the weaknesses in his driving.
