Antonelli tops FP2 ahead of Leclerc and Hamilton in Madrid
Kimi Antonelli set the fastest time in second practice for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at Madrid’s new Madring circuit. The Mercedes driver finished ahead of Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

Kimi Antonelli led Free Practice 2 for the 2026 FIA Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, setting the pace for Mercedes at the new Madring in Madrid. The championship leader recorded a best lap of 1:33.662 to go quickest in the session.
Antonelli’s time put him 0.113 seconds clear of Charles Leclerc, with Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton another 0.036 seconds back in third. His benchmark was set shortly before the session was red-flagged with 25 minutes remaining.
The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix is being held on the all-new 5.4km, 22-turn Madring circuit. Formula 1 also published FP2 highlights from the session.
