Norris claimed pole for the Dutch Grand Prix with a best time of 1m11.163s in Q3 at Zandvoort. He delivered the lap under pressure on his final run, finishing 0.102 seconds clear of Russell.

Russell, the Sprint winner, also improved on his last attempt but ended Qualifying second with a 1m11.265s. Mercedes driver Antonelli took third place to complete the top three.
