Antonelli leads red-flagged final practice in Madrid

Antonelli was fastest in the final practice session for the 2026 FIA Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring in Madrid. The Mercedes driver posted a best lap of 1m32.797s, which put him 0.166s clear of Leclerc, while Piastri was a further 0.023s behind in third.

FP3 was red-flagged twice after separate crashes for Hamilton and Bearman. Hamilton’s accident occurred at the final corner, while Bearman crashed in the closing stages of the session.

Bearman’s late incident brought the session to an early conclusion. With qualifying next, the interruptions left teams with limited preparation time for Saturday’s first qualifying session at the new Madrid circuit.
